Manhattan Beach Hill Section Info

The Manhattan Beach Hill Section derives its name from the fact that it sits on a hill, with Ardmore Avenue to the west, Manhattan Beach Boulevard to the north and Sepulveda Boulevard to the east serving as three of the four boundaries.  And, speaking of boundaries, the aptly-named Boundary Place separates the Manhattan Beach Hill section from the city of Hermosa Beach to the south.

The Hill section has some of the largest lots in the city, with those on the western side of the hill enjoying the added benefit of ocean views, in many cases, as well as easy walkability to downtown.  The housing stock is almost entirely single family homes (some of the priciest in the entire city), with a few townhomes scattered around the periphery.

School Info

The school system is Manhattan Beach Unified, with elementary school children in the Hill section attending Robinson elementary.  For the higher grades, Manhattan Beach Middle School and Mira Costa High School, both located in East Manhattan Beach, serve the Hill section, just as they do all areas of Manhattan Beach. 

According to the web site, GreatSchools.org, test scores at Robinson elementary are far above the state average, suggesting that most students at this school are performing at or above grade level.
