A noted sports media personality just closed escrow on 772 26th Street in the Manhattan Beach Tree section. The price - $6,525,000.
This stunning Louie Tomaro-designed home, built by Zivec and Corbett, is actually the 4th most expensive home ever sold in the Tree section. Several of these high-priced sales were covered in a previous blog post (see Not Quite The Highest-Priced Tree Section Sale, which was posted last year).
Still, this 5,936 sqft home (which the sellers purchased brand new back in 2015 for $5.6 million) checks all the boxes, including an oversized corner lot with a gorgeous backyard pool.
Yet another home vying to join the Tree section's $6 million club - 2921 Laurel Avenue - just recently hit the market. This brand new 6-bedrom, 5967 sqft beach plantation is being offered at $6,495,000.
We'll see if the developer of Laurel is able to gain admittance to this exclusive, high rollers' club but all indications would seem to suggest that a $6 million+ sale price is eminently doable.
