Records Are Made To Be Broken

As we wrote back in March (A Heap of High-End Homes in Hermosa), four homes on the market in Hermosa Beach had an opportunity to set a new sale price record if they sold for anywhere near their list prices.

Well, one finally did sell - 2906 Tennyson Place.  This 5-bedroom, 8-bath (including 3 powder rooms) 7267 sqft home on a third of an acre at one of the highest points in Hermosa Beach recently closed escrow for $16 million (down from a list price of $16,750,000).

As you can see, the views are spectacular.  And the huge hilltop lot offers a number of outdoor amenities - a huge yard, a pool, a sports court and various outdoor entertaining areas.

Rumor mill:  The buyer is rumored to be Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers, but not for his principal residence.  Rather, it will serve as fancy digs for visiting business people who will be able to stay overnight in absolute luxury just steps from the newly-expanded Skechers offices on Sepulveda.
