LA Kings' Preferred Builder Gets New Assignment

Noted Manhattan Beach builder Matt Morris looks like he'll be getting a new assignment from one of his favorite sources of business - the LA Kings.

Having built custom homes for Kings' players Jarret Stoll (now retired) on Monterey Blvd in Hermosa and former Kings' captain Dustin Brown at 617 Anderson Street in the Manhattan Beach Hill section (pictured above), he recently represented the Browns in the sale of their Anderson home.  Listed for $6,999,000, this magnificent 6-bedroom, 8-bath home on a 6,500 square ft lot sold quickly and, as we went to print, is currently in escrow.

Now the Browns are looking to put down roots on an even bigger plot of land on 24th Place in the family-friendly Hermosa Valley neighborhood.

The smaller, dated (built in '79) 3-bedroom Tudor-style home, pictured above, has lots of potential, given that it sits on an oversized, 8054 sq.ft. lot with a heated saltwater pool and spa in the backyard.

The real question is whether the home itself survives the bulldozer in favor of a down-to-the-studs remodel.  Either way, we're certain Matt will work his magic to ensure a continuous supply of well-heeled future clients for his exemplary construction projects.

Talk about a power play!
